We said goodbye to our biggest year yet in style
If 2021 taught me anything, it confirmed my belief that change is good. I rang in the new year with a refreshing snow-filled hike in the mountains, and I feel completely re-energized for 2022!
And speaking of changes… As you may have noticed, the SlicedBrand team has expanded over the past several months to keep up with our growing client list, and we’re all set to keep growing in the new year.
If you’re also looking forward to growing your business in 2022, you’ll want to read my article in Forbes about the role PR plays as businesses develop their brand and position themselves in the marketplace. In it, I talk about what PR does, as well as what it does not do, and I debunk the idea that PR exists primarily to react to bad news. On the contrary, the best PR is proactive!
As we step boldly forward to face the new year, I’m resolving to stay positive, proactive, and passionate about the exciting tech developments that await us.
Our clients have been sharing a lot of lessons learned and other tips for companies in the tech space, such as tips for online retailers to stay competitive and options for app developers to remain profitable without selling user data. They also offered us insights on some of the big developments and applications we can look forward to in a variety of industries – from smart contracts and digital wallets to the rise in the importance of online creatives.

In his article on Benzinga, Finoa’s Head of Business Development, Marius Smith, discussed the effects of inflation on assets and explained why companies should diversify their portfolios by investing in crypto as a hedge against inflation.
Leif-Nissen Lundbæk, Co-Founder & CEO of Xayn, shared his insights on The Next Web about the changing perception of higher education within Silicon Valley. His article notes the resurgence of the importance of advanced degrees at startups and presents reasons for this change.
Nadav Melnick, Vice President of Product at Rakuten Viber, elaborated on the data collection and usage problems with WhatsApp’s business model and presented alternatives that recognize the importance of user privacy. In his Hacker Noon article, he posits that businesses don’t have to sell user data to be profitable.
Cloudways Director of WordPress Robert Jacobi presented tips in Nasdaq for e-commerce businesses seeking to localize their marketing. He highlighted the importance of recognizing regional differences in preferred payment methods.
Looking back at 2021, I am so proud of what SlicedBrand’s clients have accomplished – from technological developments to funding and expansion announcements – and I’m proud of the work our team has done to promote the news far and wide. In December, our clients finished the year on a high note. Here are some of the highlights we’re celebrating.
