Summer is fleeting, but great coverage is forever

It’s hard to believe fall is right around the corner – this really was a blink-and-you-missed-it summer. The leaves outside my window are already starting to turn! In any case, I’m thrilled with the powerful press presence our clients commanded through – and in spite of! – the famously sluggish late summer period.

During the past few months, I took a few moments to reflect on the bigger questions and themes that impact the PR industry, our professional relationships, and global work routines.

I first laid out what public relations truly is on Forbes. PR is crucial to building and maintaining a positive reputation for a company, yet there’s often confusion surrounding what we do, how we do it, and how long it takes. Establishing credibility, goodwill, and an authoritative voice is an ongoing, ever-changing process, one I feel is indispensable to business success.

I also addressed Andreessen Horowitz’s decision to distance itself from independent journalists under the guise of “going direct,” which I view as a critical misstep and a cynical misinterpretation of why an independent press is important – and not just to venture capital firms. Read my full thoughts on the matter in Nasdaq.

Our clients are not only creative tech masterminds and savvy business people; they’re also capable storytellers and thinkers who like to share their knowledge to inspire others. Here are some great thought leadership pieces that definitely made an impression.

IOTA’s Head of Mobility Matthew Yarger and IOTA Foundation Co-Founder and Chairman Dominik Schiener discussed how the road to smart city infrastructure starts with research on TechCrunch. The right technology meets the needs of local government and residents, no exceptions.

WatchOut Group’s Co-Founder Tomas Varga discussed finding business success in a Covid economy on Nasdaq, from cutting down on bureaucracy to staying nimble.

Xayn Co-Founder & CEO, Leif-Nissen Lundbæk detailed how Facebook is threatening EU privacy laws on Tech.eu, and urged the EU to create independent services that align with the rights and privacy expectations of its citizens and tech users.

Xayn’s Lead Designer, Julia Hintz, then discussed on Hacker Noon how to design for accessibility and usability during a pandemic and as mobile use times continue to rise.

Fayze Bouaouid, Co-Founder and CEO of Springbox AI, shared on TechCrunch how to create a prediction machine for the financial markets. Data is the backbone of any prediction machine, and, used correctly, will be key to predicting financial markets.

Duda’s Director of Strategic Integrations, Russ Jeffery, shared on DZone how developers can optimize for Google’s Core Web Vitals (and avoid some major pitfalls in the process).

Anbu Muppidathi, President and CEO (designate) of Qualitest, shared how storm readiness saves lives on POWER Magazine, arguing that utility companies actually owe it to customers to ensure that power transmission and distribution systems are ready as storm seasons approach.

President and CEO of AudioCodes, Shabtai Adlersberg, shared on Nasdaq the actionable steps to surviving the digital revolution. Now is the best time to accelerate the incorporation of new technology to address your company’s growing internal and external needs.
